Oh!! BWAH. I am an idiot!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Dancing on couch not making me less stressed.
I called my mom and talked to her for a little while. Feeling a little better.
I wonder if I can play Rock Band drums with my left foot on the pedal, or if it would get too frustrating to have the beat on the wrong side.
Hil, what about one of those tap-tap games? I also find shooting zombies quite soothing.
I'll try left-footed Rock Band tomorrow. I'm a bit too likely to get too frustrated with it tonight.
Zac Efron is adorable, and Elijah Kelley should dance in every movie that has dancing in it.
Oh, look! A tantrum in my living room complete with stompy feet,
Hand to God, I read that as a tarantula in my living room, and started twitching.
Humus not hummus, hee. Though I will admit I read it that way too (THREE TIMES) and thought, but ewwww, it will decompose.
Yep, I misread that, too. And thought "Surely hummus isn't a cost-effective soil treatment?" I guess I have no brain right now.
Bonny, are you around? I have a dog question.
As soon as I saw humus I was waiting for some confusion. Speaking of confusion, I was at Whole Foods today and they have powdered hummus (not humus) in the bulk section. Really?
Zoe (12, almost 13 year old German Shep) has had a bit of a runny nose the past few days, so ND took her into the vet this afternoon to get her checked. The vet said she thought it was an infection and told us to start her on a broad-range antibiotic this afternoon. She didn't eat much breakfast this morning, but she'd been pretty normal otherwise. Well she was unsteady and seemed to be feeling rotten by the time she got home, and in the last three hours she has refused to eat or drink, even treats (even a little cat food on a spoon, which she normally loves to try to steal from the cats), and we had to use the pill syringe to get the antibiotics into her. We also used an empty syringe to get some water into her, and she took a few licks from her water bowl soon after. But she's just lying down, breathing a bit hard, and generally looking miserable. If this is just the infection and we need to give the antibiotics a night to work, then that's fine, but do you think we should take her into the emergency vet?
(I'd welcome insight from anyone with doggy knowledge.)
Pix, is she also drooling? How do her eyes look?
