Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

So, the tannins in red wine don't work?

Best to experiment just to be sure.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Skimming some more...

Continuing thanks for all the ~ma that's been sent the way of The Girl's father. He had an important round of tests today, and things are looking pretty good. After another course of chemo they think they'll be able to operate.

Hil, I hope post-extraction pain hasn't been too bad.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

So, the tannins in red wine don't work?

I think you'd have to soak something in red wine and bite on it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

After an appropriately liberal application of red wine, the exact delivery method may not matter.

Or you may be "feeling no pain" anyway.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have pierogis. Pasta filled with mashed potatoes is really the perfect food. Especially when eaten right after taking Vicodin.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Calli, how's your BiL? And how's your ankle?

The last I heard, my BiL was still in the hospital, waiting on tests. My sister is staying with him, occasionally leaving to get non-hospital food for the both of them.

My ankle's a little less happy today, because I had to go in to the office. There's more swelling and a bit of achiness because I couldn't really find a good way to keep it up all day. But my manager says I can work from home the rest of the week, so it'll have plenty of time to heal.

Smonster, are you with the family or have you come back to NC?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And soup. Since I can't feel the entire upper part of my face.

the ax murderer from the internet!

I can attest to the poor cell service in Vermont. I carry my personal Rumor-2 with full data and text through Virgin Mobile. For work I have a Motorola on verizon. Both work great everywhere but Vermont. The rolling hills and lack of towers leave dead spots in large portions of the state. Waterbury is one of the spots where I can get good service Steph ;-)

Lots of health Ma to all the folks in need
