You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not anymore. I got rid of my last pair when we moved.

Saints be praised.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh, no. I remember learning that phrase because I too, am twelve. Between that and "good day" sounding a lot like "you-on-the-pot" my husband and I pretty much snickered the whole time during my prep for the trip.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oy. A school where I sent an application months ago and never heard from again sent me an email to set up an interview. The first interview for these jobs is always a phone interview, so I said sure, and scheduled a time. I just got a confirmation email from them that makes it clear that they actually meant a campus interview. It's in Richmond, two hours from DC. I can take a Zipcar and go there, but it'll be pricey, and they haven't mentioned anything about reimbursing my travel expenses, which is pretty standard for campus interviews.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have a friend who teaches at VSU and she LOVES it. We went to visit her there and it's a truly gorgeous, livable city.

That's totally what she said.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Our little girl has become a woman!

Not really - I traded to yoga pants and foldover jersey skirts. I do love a good jersey.

I would definitely clear that up before going down there.

Right now, I'm considering whether to go at all or to cancel. Zipcar is pricier than I'd thought, and I really don't want to deal with I-95 during weekday morning rush hour, and I really have a bunch of questions I want to ask about this job before committing essentially a full day to the interview.
