Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Changing the subject to Max --

Max got through the procedures okay, though his blood pressure was unacceptably low at one point. The vet wanted to keep him on oxygen and fluids overnight (largely because he had such a rough time recovering from last week's procedure), and he was doing fine. We visited him shortly after the procedure and again in the evening, and he was more like his normal self than we'd seen in quite a while. (Side effect of the lung wash -- the gunk gets cleared out of his lungs, at least for a few days.)

He showed a healthy appetite overnight, and he was headbutting for attention this morning. The vet expects to send him home this afternoon.

Thanks to all for the wishes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, I'm glad! Yay Max!

Our wings are not tired.

That is great to read, Fred. Continuing to send the kitty~ma.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh, hey P-C! I dug up my pictures from my trip to Budapest, if you want to see them (and anyone else who wants to really). [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My interview on Tuesday went pretty well, I think, but I won't know anything for certain until next week. It looks like they're interviewing three people for two job openings. Also, an interview that starts at 10 in the morning and ends at 5 in the evening is way too much interview.

Oh HELLS yes!

And for dinner, we went to an Indian restaurant where they knew the owner, and just told him "We need some vegan food," and got delicious dinner.

But was it GOOD Indian food? Don't go livin' somewhere without good Indian!

I'm glad its all going so well :)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hooray for Max! Keep it up, little dude.

In the state of me, watching Fringe, eating a sandwich, and drinking tea has totally exhausted me. Back to bed.

smonster, I feel bad for waking you up at 6:30 this morning! Too bad I couldn't tell you were sick *before* I dialed the phone.

Yay for headbutts from Max!! That's always such a good sign. I love getting headbutted by Amarna, except when I'm trying to type up a class assignment and she is sitting on the end table on my right side and trying to squeeze her head under my upper arm so I could pet her.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay, Max!

IOmememeN, why did I get woken up by jackhammers this morning? Still less annoying than the church carillon, but really? Did that need to start now?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Yay, Fred Pete! It's wonderful to read these news.

Hil, I'm glad the interview went well.

Existentialist Firefighter Delays 3 Deaths: "at 2:30 a.m. Monday, the alarm sounded at Farber's station house, causing the despondent firefighter to emerge from a deep malaise and, though still absorbed by the sense of dread that has preoccupied him since youth, respond promptly to the request for assistance at the home of Stanley and Joyce Morgenstern."

Perfection. But I actually just read parts of his The Imaginary, The Gaze and some stuff about Bad Faith.

I've started deleting teabaggers and other far right types from my friends list altogether. I don't care. I don't want that shit in my life.

Sean is smart. I wish I could have deleted fascist-right-wingers out of my life.

IOmeN: I forgot to buy the only pussies' alcohol my system is able to enjoy to mark the end of this long, tiring, nerve wrecking week (we're 3 month before test season; I'm spending 9-10 hours per day in uni now, in average). Any suggestions for a brain wiper?
