I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

bonny, I'm so glad for you.

Raq, much ~ma in your friend's brother's way.

Me? I just came back from an epiphany called Mark Lanegan. He's good in ways other will never get in their own shows, nor fathom.

Oh, and he needs a hug. Really. Could feel it all the way to my place in the first raw.

Could be just me talking, though.

Our wings are not tired

Dear doG, I am so tired I can barely see straight and I have a whole bunch of odd video things to troubleshoot once I can get back into the theatre at 10 PM. Currently I'm eating a quick meal and doing laundry, and am also planning on calling my sister.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

~ma to you, ND. Any news?

Yet another afternoon where I should be doing laundry or cleaning my apartment, but I'm not, because I'm too tired.

I see your tired and raise you a migraine with nausea. In addition to laundry, I need to go to the grocery and drug stores, walk the dog, fix and eat dinner, finish sorting all my dance shit for the sale this weekend, put price tags on all that shit, pack my stuff and stuff for Frankie since the sale is out of town, email the friend I'm staying with and the one I'm having dinner with on Saturday. And take a shower. And I need to be in bed in about two hours.

And my iPhone is having some sort of White Screen of Death issue.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Ditto. Only, I need quarters.

Our wings are not tired

Just talked to my sister, D is apparently awake but my sister hasn't been able to see her yet. Sounds like she'll probably lose at least part of one of her legs, will be hospitalized for at least 6 weeks, and then physical therapy for at least a year.

ND, that is just awful. Lots of ~ma headed her way.

Well, iPhone is fixed at least. I was going to walk to the store with the dog and grab dinner there, but it closes in 20 minutes so that's out. ::sigh:: My struggles in prioritizing and focus, let me show you them.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sounds very hard, ND, but I'm glad it looks like D will pull through.

I'm at home watching the Maddow Show. Today has been a day of misses and mix-ups. I thought I had an off-site meeting, went to it, and discovered it was next week. I thought I had a book group meeting, but the host never sent a notice and never responded to my email asking for directions, so I guess not. I thought I was going to the gym and, well, that was just me being exhausted after several nights of less sleep than needed. Plus I'm all crampy and tired for the usual monthly reasons.

I hope I get a decent night's sleep tonight and catch up on competency tomorrow.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So, I'm reading Two Lumps [link] and wondering, if Harvey were inclined to daydream himself into a movie, what would it be? I'm thinking, a Cary Grant film, maybe It Takes a Theif or Charade.
