Yeah... That went well.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Exactly. It was pretty horrific. And yet, happiest possible ending.

The status is NOT quo.

Just got a bad phone call.

The woman who has been helping as a caregiver with my mom 5 days a week for the past few years was in a near fatal car accident last night. Questionable if she will ever walk again.

Oh my god! That's terrible! I can't imagine what everyone is going through down there right now between worrying about her and worrying about how this will affect your mom. D. is truly part of the family.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Drew, I am so, so sorry.

Dear Powers That Be, kindly KNOCK IT OFF with the tormenting of my chosen family members. Start treating them nicely, dammit.

ND is in Florida until the 29th but will likely have to go home for awhile after that. We may see each other around the time we leave to fly to Connecticut to see my family.

Seriously, I'm just done. We need some good news.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, I hope you are at least in less pain today.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

{{Pix and ND}}

Conclusions from Shavuot: I have the best of friends on earth, and I do need to move out (again). Time with parents will cost me my sanity. The only problem: after spending most of the past nine years living with flatmates, I really need a place I'll love and feel comfortable with most, if not all, of its aspects and people and pets. Money aside, if I'll get one of my best friends to live with me, that would be great. If I'll get into serious relationship which will result in living together, even better.

(Living alone? Pfft. As much as I like it at (most) times, somebody that's not me gotta drive away the bugs and share the household duties and fuck-ups of old flats).

Fay, I hope you're alright.

Thanks, sj. I was better yesterday, but the pain got worse today. I suspect it's just a matter of nerves, though.

Oh gods, did I not say how worried I am about Fay?? Gah, I'm a bad friend lately. Fay, thinking of you and the Cat Daniel. Please check in when you can.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry about your mother's caregiver's accident, ND.
