Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Glad to hear I get to live!
Oh, yeah, that's good too.
OK, so I have gotten more done today than I have gotten done in the last two weeks, no shit. But I still am not going to get all my grading done. I think I WILL get done all of the project parts that have been submitted so far, but that means there's still some stuff I should have gotten graded forever ago that's still there in the pile.
But they need the feedback for this project; it's the last and biggest one of the semester.
Ah, well. Tell me to quit being a perfectionist, and stop dithering.
Hey, Diet Mountain Dew doesn't have phosphoric acid! There's an intermediate drug I like.
Sunkist orange has caffeine? No wonder it's my favorite.
Yep. I was well-pleased when I made that discovery.
Yay check! Everybody lives!
Just this once!
Monday Reports? Huh? Oh yeah...
diet tonic water
Regular tonic water has calories? I always assumed it was just fizzy water with quinine (or whatever the quinine-like ingredient is).
Is quinine caloric?
One more illusion shattered.

Stop being a Virgo.
Also? Can someone come put me out of my misery. This is definitely the congestion making a return appearance, which means I'm going to have to take more Sudafed, but I can't until after I pick Abby up from school at five.
I feel really, really weird.

Tonic water contains sugar. In fact, most tonic water is made with HFC. Sad but true.
I was surprised when I found diet tonic water in my dad's cabinet. He said the real stuff is loaded with sugar.
Yep, tonic water has calories, they add sugar, I don't think it's the quinine.
That's why I drink club soda (or "sparkling lime mineral water", according to what I've got in reach at the moment)
Today's half of the interviews were up and down. Some were great, some were bleh. Sadly, the bleh ones were some of the people I'd work more closely with. (Java, the regulatory people were cool!). Sigh. I can't decide if this would be a good move or not...even if they offer me the job...(The one person who thinks she would be my boss but so wouldn't (is a project manager, which is a different department, and is already known to be a difficult person to work with) was trying to tear down my resume from teh stuff I'd said I worked on at the company when I worked there two years ago. Of course, I was all "...I have no idea what the NAME of that project was! I worked here for four months, two and a half years ago!!" Yeesh)
