I cannot be bothered to do my French homework in that heat.
Where are the elves they promised me? Stupid universe.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{{Pix}}}} I'm sorry about the job and the stress and the pain and my not being able to give you a magical pain-relieving hug right now. Well, not right now, since I'm in a towel and you're probably asleep, but soon.
Why I hate helping my mom with the internet/computer issues:
Because something that was supposed to take 10-15 minutes now takes an hour and a half, requiring me to retype her resume and open for her (finally!) an email, because "no, mom, you need your own email. There's no reason why we should get and handle your emails for you".
I'm all up for helping her find new job instead of the current one that doesn't appreciate her and messes with her salary every time, I'm not up for the internet 1x01 lessons.
Hi all. Thanks again for all the words of sympathy and support. It took two Flexoril and two Tylenol w/codeine and the 600 mg of ibuprofen to make me feel good enough to fall asleep, but I slept through the night well. B stayed over and took care of the pets this morning so I could sleep in, bless her. I just got up a bit ago and am unfortunately in a lot of pain again, so I took the meds again (just one each for now) and am reluctantly staying in bed until friend C comes by in a couple of hours to help me wrangle cat Mia to the vet. She's going to pick up lunch at subway on the way.
In terms of metabolism and weird reactions to drugs, what freaked me out about the flexoril is that the few times I've used it it's hit me like a ton of bricks, so it was freaky to have it barely touch the spasm. Same with Tylenol w/c for the pain. I was hoping a good night's sleep would mean I'd wake up pain free, but that didn't happen. Maybe the drugs will work better this time.
Well, sleeping well hopefully helped, Pix. Maybe the drugs will be able to kick in at lower dosages today.
Stay safe, Fay.
It seems many of us are living in way too interesting times. I just got back from taking Mr Peabody to the emergency vet because he had a seizure.
As I was getting him into the car, I also had a dust up with the really creepy guy who does my neighbor's yard work, because he taunts Mr Peabody and I was thinking it was possible Mr Peabody had the seizure because he got so worked up in the heat. Maybe Creepy Guy doesn't understand what working along the fence very slowly while making eye contact with the dog is the road to dog hysteria. He's now the only person who is around regularly that Mr Peabody goes into a barking frenzy about. I've caught him cursing at the dog and trying to slap him. I hate confrontation. I know this sounds paranoid, except my neighbor on the other side, who's known Creepy Guy since high school, agrees with me. I don't like being on his bad side, because I think he is quite capable of doing bad things.
Anyway, the vet didn't see anything wrong, so she suggested I just keep an eye on Mr Peabody. Between that and the fire trucks and still having no AC, I'm a wreck.
{{Pix}} Better relief~ma with the drugs this morning. FWIW, I've often found that if a place I interveiwed with goes to calling in more interviewees, then they're not being upfront about what they want. And I don't like working for people who can't communicate their needs properly. That way lies badness.
Awww, Ginger. Poor Mr. Peabody! You need some relief.
{{{ Pix }}} I hope you can relax and let the stress wash off you. Maybe a nice bath with Epsom salts? Heat pad on your neck? Either way, I hope the tension finds its way out of you. I don't like you in pain.
You're a support system in a corset, eyeglasses and high heels, with a dirty mind, a heart of gold and a dictionary on hand.Shir, I love your description. Since I don't wear glasses or corsets, I guess I'm the dirty mind with heart of gold.
Seems the moving company found my computer battery back up out in Riverside. So I need to call the other guy and see if I can head out there today and pick it up.
Am at the doctor's office after being at chiro. She x-rayed my neck and said one of the vertebrae is bad--looks like whiplash or a damaged disc
Perhaps now that the disc has been identified, a return visit to the Chiro might be helpful. At the very least they might have some stretching exercises to relieve the pressure.
