'Hell Bound'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I forgot to say: omnis, good luck with the new job!

And I'm totally with you in the hate of 8:30am.

And I agree with the greatness of Vortex, too.

I adore Little Shop, mostly for the music. I've worked on it a couple times.

I am vaguely excited, because I actually LEARNED something in my early morning teleconference today, that will make my life slightly easier in a boring repetitive task I have to do!! WOOT! I mean, it will still be boring and repetitive. But instead of being heinously awful and unable to do anything else while I do it, it will be slightly easier and probably able to vaguely watch TV while I do it (it's clicking on a whole lot of stuff on a website. Which I thought would be various buttons, which you have to actually look for. Turns out there's a way to make them line up and be clicky boxes!). ROCK.

That said, I have tons of work to do today and it's a beautiful day and I just want it to be the weekend. Except I also need to prep for my interview that's on Monday and Tuesday (half Monday, half Tuesday). And I'm a little freaked, cause I haven't interviewed in forever, and I don't at all remember the right stuff to say, and I'm not even sure i want this job, but I'm not sure I DON"T, so....ack.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

there were 500 middle school students in an audience of about 550.

Yikes. I'm a little scared.

I adore Little Shop, mostly for the music. I've worked on it a couple times.

I was in the chorus in a community theatre production of it once. Definitely a super-fun show.

And I agree with the greatness of Vortex, too.

Bears repeating.

Not just because I'm hoping that if she figured out how to burn copies of that Tennant/Stewart Hamlet I could wheedle/beg/bribe a copy from her since my local stations never picked it up.

Not just that at all.

Vortex?

job-ma to Pix, meara, and Mr. Dana

resume-ma to smonster, and I'm also available for proofing/critiquing (proofing being one of my why-can't-it-be-more-profitable? things I'm really good at).

Forgot to meara, so hugs & ~ma to anyone I neglected.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

awww, thanks guys! You made me feel all fuzzy :)

Not just because I'm hoping that if she figured out how to burn copies of that Tennant/Stewart Hamlet I could wheedle/beg/bribe a copy from her since my local stations never picked it up.

Been a slacker about that. Mostly I just have to figure out how to convert the tivo format into a DVD format. I can convert to MP4 for iPod easily, but I think that I have to convert it to something else to burn a DVD. Thoughts? Suggestions?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Thanks, all!

Shir - seeing your pixels gives me a sense of perspective, love! It's all getting a bit worrying, but you've definitely got me beat for levels of excitement in your city, I reckon, and you handle it with a grace & aplomb I'll strive to emulate, rather than getting panicky.

Work-ma to Pix, Meara, Mr Dana & Omnis. And, Sean, I'm sorry you're feeling low lately - bugger the damn dating sites, man! We know you're foamy & awesome!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thanks for all the offers of help, y'all are the bestest. What I kind of need is an in-person nanny/sounding board, though I suppose it could work over chat or phone. Hmm. Will ponder.

Is that like watching grass grow? ... Is it the same shit on a different day? ...

Heh. No, it's like stopping the zombies from chucking everything in the trashcan and getting them to sort it. Ideally everything is compostable, and everything was *supposed* to be, but catering used PETE plastic cups and gave away granola bars in foil wrappers.

And here you just wanted to make a joke but I went all green 'splainy on you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

'sokay, I did want to know what the h* you were doing.

Our wings are not tired.

Vortex, I vaguely remember using "Tivo to Go" for burning to DVD. I'd look it up for you but I am on iPhone right now.

Pix, I am hoping so hard for you. Also, you and Drew were in my dreams this morning (fully clothed, dammit).

meara - May 14, 2010 8:55:41 am PDT #19366 of 30000

I'm annoyed that "TiVo to Go" is only for PCs and for Macs you have to buy a freakin' $80 program or something. Hrmph.

Oh, Sean & o_a, maybe you guys want to try SoulGeek.com? It's my only online dating experience so I can't do a compare/contrast, but when everything's already skewed to the geeky side of life and NOT knowing Firefly (or whatever)is actually what would make you weird, it feels like it gives a bit more of a leg-up than other sites. Plus, they're based in LA, so way more members there than elsewhere. And you can try them for free, and even paid membership is only $10 a month. And also, I am not on their payroll, swears.
