Tell me more good stuff about me.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I think we could easily do a Buffista version of Steel Magnolias. The only problem would be me and Aims fighting over who gets to be Ouiser and who gets to be Clairee.

"You are a boil on the butt of humanity."

Now I want to rewatch that, and Shag, too. "Y'all, I think I'm wild. I think I've always been wild, I just nevah knew it till now."

Yay for Episcopal bishop-meeting!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I know why I'm grumpy. My day has included a doctor appointment and a totally unexpected blood draw. I handled it quite well, I'm pleased to report, but still.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Zenkitty, I'm with you on the grumpy. I am Grumpysaurus Rex.

Our wings are not tired

I'm mostly tired but also not relishing the thought of being out of town until May 29th. This flight lands in about 2 hours.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I still marvel at how different my experience of religion has been from so many others. I'm still not convinced that it isn't somehow the statistical norm.

Pretty close to mine, I think, though we've ended up at different places.

And yeah, there's a huge difference between church camps and Bible Camp.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Everybody with the bad days and the grumpiness. I don't remember the last time I was happy.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

hugs everyone

I've been pretty grumpy all week, but today improved dramatically. Not only do I have a ticket to the July Adam Lambert concert (whooo! sparkly boy in eyeliner!), but there is a chance that, through a friend of a friend, I will get a pass to meet him. HELLO THERE, TALL SPARKLY MAN. YOU ARE VERY PRETTY.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

And yeah, there's a huge difference between church camps and Bible Camp.

I've never encountered a non-fundamentalist church holiday for young people - I guess that's about the circles I moved in as a teenager. I went on a couple of Scripture Union holidays as a kid. Lots of verse-learning (ugh) and serious talks about sharing the gospel. I also went more than once to Soul Survivor, a week of camping in a field where the Holy Spirit moves people to fall over a lot (or maybe it's the mud), and Spring Harvest, where there are lots of seminars about how being gay is wrong (so they did well with me then). Ah, the teenage years of a Christian 'youth'.

The status is NOT quo.

I went to 4H camp for ten years and loved it. I was a CIT and a counselor at that and a few other camps in the years that followed.

ION, I am currently subbing for the AP Calc class, which is hysterical. They're currently presenting lessons that I don't understand a word of. One of the other students is filming for the actual teacher. Hence, me messing around online. I = *awesome* Calc substitute.
