He's got it a little confused. Leon Theremin was an electronics genius who invented the theremin. KGB agents kidnapped him off the streets of Manhattan and forced him to work for the USSR spy biz for the rest of his life. Weird and horrible but true.

Not only that, but Leon Theremin was the inspiration for Boris Badenov.
OK, I made that up.

Look, if I somehow get turned into a sparklepire, I will still be taking my inspiration from Near Dark and The Hunger, not the Cullen family. I have vampiric standards.
