John Keats, "Ode on a Grecian Urn."
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Plato wrote a lot about the Good and the Beautiful, and how they were the same, and the model ideas by which everything else should be measured. Sort of, in a Platonic kind of way. There was probably a cave.
Hi everyone!
Jars! Hey, how's it going?
End of first day trip report- made it through my nemesis state, Pennsylvania.
Ha! Virginia is the one I always considred mine (since there always seemed to be so much of it between me and the destinations I was heading towards).
Glad the boys are being good travel kittehs, and good luck with the rest of your journey!
I am in an inexplicably bad mood.
Huh.
Thank you, Jars and P-C!
(Funny, I've been looking into "The Allegory of the Cave" for some time now, believing that it can be measured against Lacan's "Mirror Stage" theory all of this time).
Jars! Hey, how's it going?
Good! Mostly. I've been pretty busy since we moved to London. Greg's had a bunch of trouble finding work, so we've been very short on cash too. That said, there's an awful lot to do for free in London which is really nice.
Greg's applying for jobs in New England at the minute, so if that pans out we'd be moving over pretty soon!
Other than that, it's freakishly cold here for May. I can only assume it's because Hell's frozen over now that the Tories are in bed with the Lib Dems.
I've been very skimmy on the board so if there's any exciting news I should know, do tell.
Barb, quick, turn on kitty cam!
(Or, as I believe, embrace your bad mood, and hit somebody with it. I think it's bad to repress the feelings of any woman).
Whatever works for you.
Turn that frown upside down, Barb.
