'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

MM, that was hilarious.

Oh, sod it. I'm moving to America.

Um, are you forgetting we have Sarah Palin? Seriously, that's the wrong damn Palin to be stuck with.

Teppy, in your shoes, I would be sorely tempted to blast hymns at them - turn it on, crank it up, and walk out the door on the way to work. Particularly if it's early enough in the morning that they'll still be well and truly hung over. Maybe KLOVE 104.3?

smonster, I'm thinking you are long since asleep. But if you want to do a productivity email round tomorrow, I have some things I need to get done, and I should be around.

And Zen, I don't think I told you this, but yay! for Leo! I'm truly glad he's OK.

ION, I think Lou converted me from being a cat person into being a dog person. Not that I don't like cats anymore (I still worship them), but it's just that it's so much easier to play with dogs (even if they're a lot more stupid). Neighbor's dog was out for a walk yesterday, and I think he's 1-2 year old, a big one, with all of the excitement of a puppy. He saw me, and without a moment of hesitation he jumped and "hugged" me (two front legs on my hips), while licking my arms and playfully biting them and just looking so happy to meet someone!new.

I forgot how great that feels. Lou wasn't that energetic in such a long time.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

This may be the first time this has been said in a long time

Yes, my American friends keep pointing out the irony and the 'how things have changed'-ness. (What does it say about the Brits that for years while you have a right-wing government we have a left wing one - and then, truly inspired by Obama, we vote in someone I fully expect to morph into Big Brother in a couple of weeks...?)

Oh yeah, that pirate guy was fun. He even got a few votes.

Re: Facebook - I'm barely using it since I discovered twitter and watched as FB opened up people's data to the entire interwebs. I use it to send messages to my friends whose e-mails I've forgotten. Occasionally I cross-post updates with twitter.

More job~ma, Hil.

{{{askye}}} Glad to hear you didn't go to work after a general anaesthetic. You should be resting for at least a day or two. That's a big strain on your body. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm a cat person and The Girl (who is allergic to cats) is a dog person. We might compromise with a pug. They're funny and like cute, stupid versions of cats. That, or I'll pay thousands of pounds for some kind of hypo-allergenic cat. Depends how much we spend on a house.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Nora, safe travels. Glad the cats are doing great.

Hil, breathe!

Um. There was more, but there was a lot of skimming. I have Internet & cable again. Took forever for the cable modem to DHCP with my airport extreme. But, I have wi-fi! I also woefully underestimated me media collection. NoiseDesign was awesome, and drove me to Ikea and move 4 Benno CD tower book shelves. I thought 3 for cd's, one for dvd's and xbox games. Well. It seems all four barely fit my CD's, and it looks like I could fill another with just DVD's. And that doesn't include xbox games. Oy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Glad you're back online, omnis, and yay to ND for Ikea enabling.

Askye, you made the right call. Feel better!

Yes! Always! I'll be in and out due to meetings today, but still willing to play. And definitely tonight after I get home.

Yay! I got stuff I want to get done, but some of it, I have serious laziness about. Anybody else want to play?

Incidentally, I probably won't start on my list in earnest until early this afternoon. I just want to make sure I do get started, at all.

Nora, I still can't quite believe you guys are doing this!

I know, right?!?!!?

Strasburg--> Chattanooga leg today. Hey, when exactly do we hit Central time? According to the internets, it's at some point in Tennessee.
