More than enough to run my program, so clearly that was an excuse. I'm going to follow up with one of the (not!Head) admin to see what else I can find out.
Cynically, I suspect it was an excuse to have you do the same work without paying you extra for it.
Dollars to doughnuts says that they just didn't want to pay someone to be in charge of the program and work with all of the new hires. It's cheaper just to ask a few people to take on 1 or 2 new teachers and then you don't have to pay a stipend.
Oh adorable and random geeky boys. You are so very adorable and random and geeky. And I adore you.
Hey Missy, lips are like hands - keep them to yourself
unless invited.
I investigated. They thought I wasn't coming back, so they decided to just make it part of the (already overworked) directors' jobs. I suspect I may be recruited to help next year. But yeah, budget reasons. That makes me feel a bit better.
Still awaiting word from the (possible) new school?
Okay, this is possibly a stupid question, but I'm asking the hivemind. I wanted to buy a particular shampoo, but can't find it in any store locally. I just ordered it to be shipped to my office in DC, with billing address also in DC. I was charged tax. I thought that you didn't get charged tax if you were ordering something to be shipped from a different state. If it's coming from DC, then why don't any of their stores have it in stock?
Am I making sense? (I am very tired today. I got up early to work out, go me, but I'm tired.)
Okay, I feel bad for (yet again) lurking for weeks then just jumping in...but not bad enough not to do it. ;)
Anyone else been hit on by a total stranger on Facebook? I got this friend request from some random guy saying he's looking for friends or something. Ridiculously enough, one of the things that most bugs me is his complement about my "beautiful smile" when my profile pic has (as many of you can vouch) at best, a smirk. Anyone else ever have this happen and be, I dunno, legit? Or always skeevy?
