Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In utterly sparkley news, I met Johnny Weir tonight. It was a fundraiser for AIDS Walk NY where he was the guest of honor. We spoke for a couple of minutes about the program he debuted last week.

He was as charming and gracious and individual with person after person all night. He is easily every bit as engaging as Frank Iero in these situations -- and that is not a compliment I bestow lightly.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

The good news, moving company called and said my stuff will be delivered Saturday instead of Monday! Woot! Bad news, utilities won't get turned on until Monday & Tuesday. Ah well. Tomorrow I sign lease on new apartment, get keys, and map out where all the furniture will go. Now I just need to find that little pad of paper where I wrote down the measurements of everything. Dang it, I knew I should have put it in the computer.

Also, brain is still flying at 75 MPH, and still confused of which time zone I am in and what time it really is. My internal clock is strange like that. Not sure if it's "car lag" or something. I suppose if my brain was normal, it wouldn't be me, right?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I get car lag. That was a long haul of a trip, so it`s to be expected I think.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, and no, I`ve never been to El Morro. Meant to but haven`t.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I wake up to a 'hung Parliament' (I knew the Brits could do it). Unfortunately it's slightly in the Conservatives' favour, and the Lib Dems lost seats rather than gaining. I am bemused. And tired.

Yay for being near home, omnis!

DCJ, hope the leg's better soon. That doesn't sound good.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, thanks guys, but I'm really fine. I hardly knew (virtually) his little brother, and mostly feel sorry for the brother I know and his family. All of us in the different global time zones are now trying to catch one another during hours on which we're all awake to see about the flowers and such. If anyone here have recommendations (which flowers, etc, or other stuff: I was thinking of food deliveries. Too much? Inappropriate?).

I'm just trying to find ways to see if there's anything we can do that will make this time easier on them. But the brackets aren't really necessary.

However, if someone could tell my abusive subconscious stop torturing me and stop sending me dreams on which Lou is still alive (despite everything. Every dream we're glad to see he still made it through/he's still sick, but with us). I'm waking up from this in the morning and cry. Third dream in past 5 days.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Tea:

DCJ, leg~ma, pronto. Is that really supposed to hurt so much? Is there a second opinion available?

Shane: Oh, Lord. The cuteness. Ladies, you've made one hell of a forceful cute thing. Quick, put it on DCJ's leg. I'm sure it'll fix it in no time.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm waking up from this in the morning and cry. Third dream in past 5 days.

That's a powerfully painful onslaught of dreams. I've had them about my dad, and about my sweet cat, Pachisi, who has been gone for 12 years. I'm sorry you are suffering this way.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad things were a bit better for some of yesterday, DCJ. I hope everything heals up completely soon.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

At the gate for my flight to New Orleans, and the airport tv news here just started talking about the oil spill and everyone's craning their heads to watch.

smonster, I am going to be annoying Historic Green folks once I get my bearings to help with organizing next year's event, feel free to give them fair warning!

Oof. Long day ahead.
