Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Who are those people?

Who knows? Who cares?

Why are they so badly dressed?

Met Costume Gala and no doubt it's the hideously expensive work of some designer and someone told them they look faaaaaabulous.

I am sooo out of touch with pop culture.

Not really. They're neither pop nor culture.

I realize that was likely rhetorical, but the names are at the top right. The guy is apparently Sean Lennon.

See? Totally not relevant.

Ah-ha. I was so horrified by what they were wearing that I didn't look around for names. To soothe my asethetic sense, I am going to go read stuff at Quaintrelle Life. Petticoats! Panniers! Beauty patches! (Which reminds me, I need to find a cute little box to store my beauty patches in, and I need to buy more faux eyelash glue.)

“Not dead yet!”

Huh. Thunder for the second day in a row. I'd almost forgotten what that sounded like.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Speaking of fabulous, I'm trying to decide what to wear to this fundraiser with Johnny Weir on Thursday.

Between that and "keep your hand ABOVE his waist keep your hand ABOVE his waist" when they take pictures I'll be in a tizzy.

Sean Lennon could be my boyfriend, but talk about mother in law issues...

It would take me about one argument to get to "BROKE UP THE BEATLES" and that's really not good for anybody.

Size 000 Hollywood stylist and how sad is it that even with a bow That Big plastered on the gown, she still lacks hips?

Mostly lurking...

My uncle is in ICU, not really responding, and they have no fucking clue what's wrong. And I'm about to completely lose it. He's got three grandbabbies on the way (to make an even dozen).

And, I really don't want to make this about me, but I cannot deal with another crisis right now. I feel like I have been in crisis mode for months. I sobbed the whole way home from work, after getting the email.

Any ~ma towards Alabama would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Lots of ~ma, vw.

I'm trying to think through my options wrt job offers. There are way too many maybes right now. (Basically, the issue is how to respond to a offer of a job that sounds OK but not great, if I'm pretty sure but not positive that I can find something that I'll like better.)

I'm going to get my new ankle brace fitted tomorrow. I hope it will help.
