I haven't lived in Nashville for seventeen years, Kate, and it's making me choke up, seeing and reading the stories of what's going on.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Kate, when you're city is in emergency, and to echo Dana, you do have every right to be upset. We have a very famous line out of a poem here, "The man is the pattern of the landscape of his homeland". And it is.
And forgive my unAmericaness, but which city is it?
Thanks, y'all. Not much I can do right now but push on with my to-do list, but it's hard not to let it affect me. Not a good day.
edit: Shir, it's Nashville, Tennessee.
We heard nothing on it here. Strange.
{{Kate}}. I suspect it's just as bad as seeing your city in war.
Paging Hil - recs on ankle braces? amyth has a torn ligament and probably needs surgery but won't be able to get it for a while.
Sorry -- I got mine from my doctor's office, and I can't find a brand name anywhere on it.
I just finally got the official offer from the first school that offered me a job. Another is supposed to call me sometime this afternoon, but they haven't called yet. And the third is supposed to contact me sometime soon.
{{Kate}} Don't feel bad about being upset, it's upsetting!

Whoa. Just got another email asking me for an interview. This one's from an OK school in a fabulous location.
Cool. How long can you drag your feet on your job offer in Georgia?

Until Friday.
Max had another follow-up visit with the vet this afternoon. She's encouraged -- Max even gained a little weight.
Still quite a way to go, but he's on the right track.
