I'm eating brunch at ikea to a Kelly clarkson soundtrack (?!?).

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hellmouth territory?
I'll have to admit at this stage that I have no idea whatsoever what Route 66 is, but a Dylan song.
Which means that someone will have to take me there when I'll come and visit you all.
OTOH, I'm DYING to go there [link] (PDF warning), but my schedule doesn't allow me to go to the whole con. Hope to catch half of the second day, though, and crossing my fingers it'll be free, too.
Hellmouth territory?
Yes.

Dude, your IKEA (the one in Renton, yeah?) has lattes for $1. Seriously. Premilked coffee.
It's maybe a damn good thing it's far away from me. And that I have one here finally.
Also I love deserts. Especially when you drive through them because you can see how they really do change. It's also partly why I find Joshua Tree fascinating - it is where two deserts meet.
I just moved to Astoria (about 70 miles west of Portland) and have spent an amazing amount of time and money in Ikea in the past few weeks but have to marvel at their ability to provide basics at good prices. I've promised my daughter regular trips to Portland for her shopping trifecta - Ikea, TJs and Sonic
I don't know if it qualifies as true desert, but the high plains of Wyoming are amazing. So empty, so wide open. You can see how they acquired their mythic reputation.
