Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sigh. I mostly like the project I work on, but SO MANY TIMES they keep thinking they're being smart, and not realizing they're SO not thinking ahead.

Like, there's this plan where we want to get stuff done quickly, but it involves people who come in for a visit, and then are given a diary to fill out for a week, and don't usually bring that in until their next visit, three months later. So they're like "For the people near when we want to end, we'll give them an envelope, so they can mail it back". Which is a fine idea. Except it didn't occur to them that they needed to start doing this two or three months ahead of time--not JUST for the people right at the end, but for the people who were coming in two months ahead of time, but wouldn't be back for their next visit until after the time they wanted to see these diaries! And now some of them have already happened. And this is so not the first time... Sigh.

Now tagless for your comfort.

TICK CHECK! *shudder*

smonster--make sure you spray down with some insect repellent next time you go out. And wear pants! And light colored clothes. And socks! And have someone check your neck and behind your ears.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I did not spray down, but I was wearing long socks and pants and a long-sleeve light colored shirt. Next time I need to do the "tuck pants into socks" trick - both of the ones I found had likely crawled up my jeans. I'm totally paranoid about every little itch right now. I'll strip down again when I get home, but thankfully there are big mirrors in the bathroom so I was able to be pretty darn thorough. And I changed all my clothes but underwear and I checked those, so.

ICK.

Tell me to back away slowly from the idiot Teabaggers. They're up in arms about this YouTube video: [link]

They say they were being intimidated by the twelve riot cops (and standard Secret Service presence).

I've been politely trying to tell them what a real police crackdown looks like, and that until they get angry pit bulls and fire hoses turned on them, they should STFU.

Ugggggh. I hate ticks, too. I've been practically bathing in bug spray since the weather turned warm.

Ticks. ICK! Fleas...just as bad.

When you find one, douse it with Dawn or other dish washing liquid...rather than squishing, which is gross and spreads the grossness. The solvents in the dish-washing liquid dissolve the exoskeleton. Effectively.

Yesteday, one of my favorite dogs had an enormous tick (don't ask...really) that just dropped off after a dousing with Dawn.

It's not exactly Kent State. Seems like everybody is pretty calm and orderly.
