Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

...there's a lot of Hil and hill in that post, Brenda. Are you sure you did not get kidnapped by Hil, and are trying to send a secret message?!?!?

Or that Hil has kidnapped her advisor, and that is the sign that we need to come up with an alibi? (Crap, did I give it away?)

So my new bedroom faces east, and has huge windows. It's all rising sun fabulosity. I keep waking up like, an hour before my alarm, thinking "Is it time to get up? Surely it's alarm time" and it's only 7:30AM (and that's after waking up a bunch of times earlier in the morning, noticing it's light out, hearing people driving through the alley, going back to sleep, etc). I don't want to wear a sleep mask, because I'm appreciating the "morning light makes me wake up!" effect, and I think a sleep mask would mess with that...I think I just need to go to bed earlier. But...that means going to bed earlier! Sigh.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I am rubbish, and have missed 320 posts here because I've been working. Poor excuse. Anyway, I wanted everyone to know that The Girl's father had surgery yesterday, and it went really well, and they got all the cancer out (along with half of his pancreas and quite a bit of his stomach!) - and it's now just a case of how well he recovers. It's good good news and we are happy. All the ~ma has been much appreciated. (Will put an abbreviated version of this in Beep Me.)

How is everyone here? What did I miss?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

T minus 6 hours. Bedroom (except closet) is all but done. Living room too. Gotta do dishes, finish hall closet, pack clothes & bedroom closet, and bathroom. Maybe shower and sleep? Rehydrating break for a few minutes. I hate moving.

Dang it. I should have told uverse to end service on Saturday. Fuckers turned it off at 4:30am. I'm flying grey, on edge network only for awhile.

Have a successful, not-too-stressful move, omnis.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Moving-ma, omnis.

A friend of mine's toddler (the one I often mention babysitting for) is having a minor operation today, and the mom is very nervous. I know they would appreciate any -ma that could be sent their way.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Moving~ma, and much good luck, omnis!

Job~ma to Vortex and Pix and whoever else needs it.

No more freaking pain~ma for sj, and ~ma to her friend's toddler.

Extreme yay for everyone's wonderful days!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That's wonderful news, Seska! Easeful recovery~ma to The Girl's father, and blessings on his doctors for getting it all the hell out.

And ~ma to your friend and her toddler, sj. Even minor operations on kids are scary, the younger the scarier.

And...well, I want to wish you a smooth, easy move, omnis, but moving is pretty much always stressful and mildly crazed even at its very best. So, least-possible-stress~ma, and welcome back to California! (Sorry, Texas.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Seska's FIL!

~ma for sj's babysittee.

Moving~ma for omnis.

All sorts of job~mas.

Max went back to the vet for his follow-up. His congestion has improved slightly, but he's still a very sick kitty. (The vet suggested that cancer was a possibility, but she also said that the antibiotics wouldn't have helped ease cancer at all.) He also lost even more weight. So he's now on yet another antibiotic, as well as an appetite stimulant and prescription moist food (Luckily, he likes the prescription moist). And he has to visit the vet every day for nebulizer (steam) treatment.

Which means bigger battles to get him to take his meds. His jaw muscles are surprisingly stong for such a small sick cat.

I'm thinking of going into veterinary nursing after retirement. I feel like I'm already halfway there on the feline part of the curriculum.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Job-ma, Vortex! Can we share? I should hear early next week about the job I interviewed for Monday.

MINE MINE MINE! Okay, I'll share, but FEEL MY LOVE that I'm sharing knowing how much I want to leave :)

sprinkles job~ma over Pix
