I'm sorry. That was WAY whinier than I meant for that to come off. I really wasn't trolling for validation, though it was nice to get anyways. It's amazing, though, how job searching will suck every ounce of your own self-worth. It's quite the fun process. Add in to it that this place is falling apart more and more each day, and life is, well, just interesting right now. And not necessarily the good kind of interesting.

I'm having a chuckle at imagining an assignment to write an essay/paper comparing the philosophies of Mills and Rousseau, and the "Proffessor" getting back this mess about a WW II battle and Bill Gates, and going all WTFQ@??@ And to top it off it's all spelled wrong and full of malapropisms.

I will never forget the student I had who never came to labs because the room was too cold and she couldn't work and she also thought she would be picking out the costumes. She never contacted me. I thought she had dropped the course. She showed up after the show was open and their was nothing left to do. I was going to fail her, but the lead theatre teacher does not like to fail people because he feels we will then be under scrutiny for not being rigorous enough (which makes no sense. So I came up with a project for her that involved cleaning the shoe room, which was not the most pleasant project, but hey, she wouldn't be failing. She told me that she was going to call her mother because her mother would never let her do such a horrible thing as clean and how could I make her do this, because she clearly couldn't work earlier in the semester because it was too cold!!!!

I actually got cced on an email from one of our student leaders like that. He forwarded an email from a student to the Director of Financial Aid with the addendum "This is the third email that I have gotten regarding this issue. Please take care of it."

I was appalled and wrote the student and told him that the email was more like a superior would send to a subordinate, and the tone was inappropriate.
