Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Aims, I am so glad that all worked out. I wish I lived closer. I would totally take you out to get drunk and drive you safely home.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'll just come to Chicago. You and me and Brenda and whoever else is there.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm glad you got that worked out, what a nightmare.

If her lease is the same as mine, there isn't one - they are not allowed in Michigan. And landlords can't ding you for not cleaning at the end of the lease either.

oh, okay then. That's fine. Here, they would try to yoke your security deposit for something like that.

You name the time, and I'm in! You can even stay with me if you don't mind staying a bit (*cough* 40 miles *cough*) out of the city.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Our little boy had vaccinations today. It's a big one, three needles. He kicked his leg free on th first one and got scratched. Poor little man. He settled quickly after it was all done, but it was a lot more traumatic than his first few (for all of us - holding your screaming son down so a stranger can stab him multiple times does not leave one feeling like father of the year).

Aww, poor Ryan. I always hated having to watch my kids get vaccinated, too. But well worth it in the end.

Aims, so glad everything worked out satisfactorily. And, whoot, on the A!! Good job!

I can swing by Chicago to help celebrate! It's so nice having a job again, so I can afford things like...gas.

“Not dead yet!”

Aw poor Aims.

Poor wee Ryan.

Poor bt and Wallybee.

Not that it's any consolation, but I have to take my little girl for a shot in about an hour. It doesn't get much easier emotionally, although at least I don't have to hold her down anymore-- good thing since she's almost taller than I am.

And have I mentioned that Nate's officially taller than me now? *sob*

I would still take pictures of the place to show its condition, but that's just my suspicious nature I suppose.

ION all about me, this client called our paralegal yesterday and basically hinted that she was unhappy with how I treated her. She already has a reputation for being difficult and so I highly doubt anyone in the firm will take her side. (Basically, I had two hearings back to back and she's pissed that I didn't sit down in the courthouse and discuss in detail everything that had just happened and what they need to do next. I did however, put this all in an email two days later.) Anyway, she just sent me this email being all nice and talking about how we have things to discuss. @@ It's a firm of 5 people - does she really think we don't talk to each other?
