Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hil, did your interview happen yet? If yes, how'd it go? If not, tons of Awesome-Math-Hire-Me~ma for you! Just think, you could be a Georgia Peach! (said with a big smile, because that's the only way to say Georgia Peach!)

It didn't happen yet. He said he would call me either between 1 and 2 on Monday, or sometime on Tuesday. He didn't call today, but he emailed me at 4 to ask for a copy of my transcript and email addresses of references, and he said he'd call tomorrow.

I tried using a cane instead of crutches today. Much easier to navigate the world with one hand free, but it also makes me feel lopsided, and it bothers my shoulder and hip more than the crutches do.

Bien sûr!

I don't know what to have for dinner. I'm hungry, but nothing seems like what I want to eat. My stomach doesn't feel great -- I think I may have been overdoing the fiber lately -- but I don't really have anything that seems like a calm-stomach food. I think my best bet might be some vacuum-packed gnocchi that I bought a while ago.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

IKEA meatballs and roasted red bliss potatoes tonight. Also, we should be packing. However, right now we are endeavoring to finish bottles of booze that are almost finished so we don't have to pack them. Cocktail time is valuable!

This is where the tight timetable sort of sucks- work all day, come home, work all night packing. Ah well, we are well in the process and have a good plan for what needs to be done. Just need to execute.

I'm not really bitching, though.

I wish I could be helpful there. Really, you have no idea.

The status is NOT quo.

Interviews and sample lesson done. Went well, I think, but I won't know until early next week (or at the latest the end of next week) since they have 2-3 more candidates scheduled to come teach. The school is gorgeous (GORGEOUS) and would be a great place to teach, though there are some caveats to that: they are far behind in terms of technology and are in flux administratively, which means I'd be a huge force for change...which can be uncomfortable as a new person. But I think the Head wants to hire me. So, we'll see.

Pix, you'd get so much of your life back, though, what with the no commute thing. That is worth *so* much. I am sending all good vibage your way!
