Welcome to the Hellmouth petting zoo.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and stop going for the ankles of visitors.

He didn't bite us. Just some suspicious barking. And he let me pet him a lot in the morning.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The Biscuit never did chew shoes. But once, when we first got him, he did transport a pair of my Docs to the exact middle of the living room once.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

He just...moved them? That's pretty funny.

I did not find any more money on the dog beds when I came home today. Perhaps they are withholding their gratuity in the hopes of better service.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

maybe if you move all their doggy stuff, they will tip you $20, buy you lunch, and give you ice cream.

Oooh, I like that plan! Because they don't have much stuff to be moved.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Mr Peabody has a bit of the interior decorator in him. He moves the pillow in and out of his bed; rearranges blankets and small rugs; and redistributes shoes.

The status is NOT quo.

Sorry to bounce in and be giddy, but I just got the rest of the pictures from the Hawaii wedding, and they are AMAZING! So happy! I also got the confirmation and schedule for Monday's interview, which is happy making.

In not-so-giddy news, we also got two massive tax bills in the mail that I'm really hoping are mistakes. Apparently California has started sending out bills to small business owners (especially sole proprietors like Drew) claiming they never filed their taxes, even when they did, in an attempt to get people to pay twice. It happened to our friend Cricket the past two years, so I'm not too worried yet. But...it's a massive estimated bill. Like five-digits scary. So mistake~ma would be good there.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee, yeah, it was so funny. I thought he was just sitting there with them, but I have no real idea what was going through his mind. He puts stuff places all the time. He put his stuffed otter on our pillow once at bedtime. And once he put it on top of the Wii Fit board.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Honestly, some behaviorists think this is exactly the scenario!

Sammie has been known to deposit cat toys in Daniel's shoes, so I think of her inner monologue as, "Oh, hey big guy! You seem to be buried deep in there. Are you lonely? Bored? Here, let me share my fave toy with you. If you are really hungry, you can nibble on that tail. It's not the best of snacks, but I've done it a time or two and it's not too bad."
