Occasionally I'm callous and strange.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Weird experience, seeing your fiancee on the telly.
Be thankful it was for something good, and not "Britons Most Wanted!" (assuming there is a UK version of that show).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is anyone else having visions of Dunkirk 1940 in their heads?

Yes. (Lots of private boats were used to evacuate Dunkirk.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dunkirk was the first thing I thought of. I didn't say anything for superstition of drawing gunfire misfortune on the rescue efforts.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Seska, that is very cool! Both the rescue mission and the Girl being on TV.

Yes, possibly because I just read a book where Dunkirk was a thing (Connie Willis and the whole time traveling historians and such). But this would be a rather...happier evacuation. :)

So weird--I just got a facebook message from the old owners of the house!! Guess that's what comes of having a unique name!! (Basically just said 'Enjoy! We loved the bedroom view, let us know if you want any recommendations on the area")

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Be thankful it was for something good, and not "Britons Most Wanted!"

They mostly mocked The Girl's very small Toyota Yaris. Neglecting to mention that we're also taking my Ford Fusion. Which doubles our capacity. Better than the airlines are doing!

Meara, that's nice of them! And I forgot to say, Congrats on being a home owner! I say, grow a couple pot plants for yourself. Its your castle now. rebel!!

Ah! I was wondering about that. If both you go, that's one less passenger to save. But if you both go, both driving vehicles, that helps a ton! Safe travels! and may your new traveling companions be wonderful people (who found a place to shower recently).

How long will the rescue operation take, if all goes according to plan?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

m just saying that denying it exists is unfair. I

That would be a valid point if I had not specifically said that anti-semitism exists. And I also specifically said that anti-semitism is a much worse problem in other nations than the U.S.

Trust my rage

I can't talk Stephanie into the official Steph corset? Imagine the F2Fs!

I pondered it. I actually love Steph's picture, but I am almost certainly too practical.

And I do need a new tagline. Amych (I think) said that to me before the first time I ever went out after Ellie was born (so, December 2005).
