I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. It's making the cruise feel a little less isolating.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy Birthday, Kilted Sound Justice!

{{{{Shir}}} take care of you.

He finally got a clue that if he let 10 minutes slide in the morning, he'd get an hour or or so more at night.

Most of the stickler bosses I've worked for, that would get me formally warned with a note about attitude.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

That's so often been the way for me & work. I'm early 99% of the time and get no recognition. When I'm late I get called out.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh yeah.

Heh, at one firm my hours were 8-4. Nobody EVER seemed to remember that once 4:00 rolled around. More than occasionally, actually, I'd hear "It's only 5:00 now. Can't you stay a little late and finish this?"

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

My hours are anytime between 7 and 9 (I steer toward 8:15 or 8:30) and 4 or 6. We don't really get a lot of phone calls, and I can, and do check emails from anywhere.

As long as I get stuff done when it needs to be, and can answer questions about requests, I'm good.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My twin sister's old boss was all about control. She was a horrible morning person and would always come in about 15 minutes late. He kept on her about it insisting that it mattered to the rest of the company--the plant people who worked day shift would see her come in after 8 and he thought it "looked bad" for their department. She finally hashed it out with him. The rest of the employees weren't there to see her leave at 8 or 9 pm nearly every night so really, what did it matter if she came in 15 minutes late?

With him, it was definitely about the control.
