[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Vortex - and anyone else who may have allergy-related skin irritations - you know what's good? Benadryl cream (ointment?). It comes in a tube, it's white and icky, but it helps. I get mosquito bites when it gets warm and I've found that if I dab some on soon after I'm bitten the bite will clear up quickly; if I get to it right after the bite, sometimes it won't itch at all.

I actually just grabbed a hot shower, which took care of most of it.

Andi is doing better today. We have discussed me taking her to work so I can get my oil changed near there. We'll see.

My boss gave me heck in advance for being (13 minutes!) late yesterday. I ran out and got Andi some lemon lime sodas, and her favorite fitness water, and then ended up getting out of the house late, so I called him on the road and let him know Andi was sick and that I would be a bit late.

All he did was gripe about how the phones were over ringing.

Well, dude, we are shorthanded at the best of times, and I have been coming in 15-20 minutes early, at least, for the last few months, is what I should have said.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy Birthday ND!!

“Not dead yet!”

Popping in from the in-laws visit to wish ND the Happiest of Birthdays!

Pix, I'm sorry about the director position, but I hope the teaching position pans out. It sounds like a decent risk to take at this point, if only so you can be closer to home.

Non-itch ~ma for Vortex.

All kinds of comfort and doggy ~ma for Shir.

Hugs and any other kind of ~ma for all ma Bitches because I miss you so.

I had a boss get on my ass for being late. He said that the hours were there for a reason. I said okay, and started walking out of the door at 5:30 on the DOT. If I was on the phone, I said, hey, I have to call you back and I left. A few days later, I returned a message that he'd left (after 5:30)and he made a comment about how I didn't call him back that day. Then a few days later, he said "I stopped by your office last night and you weren't there" and I said "what time was that?" he said "oh, about 6" I said "I leave at 5:30" He STILL didn't get it. Finally, he had a project that he gave to me because "I know you'll finish it today" and I said "well, I might not, because I leave at 5:30. Hours are there for a reason". He finally got a clue that if he let 10 minutes slide in the morning, he'd get an hour or or so more at night.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Shir, so much ~ma for you and your doggie.

Don't mess with The Vortex, boss man. You'll learn.

Yes, today I've decided, since CA is the first time I've RETURNED to someplace after moving on, it must be HOME!

Huh. I like that. So, for me Virginia is home now. Of course, I did return to New Jersey after leaving, but I was four when we left, so it doesn't count.

The status is NOT quo.

Yes, today I've decided, since CA is the first time I've RETURNED to someplace after moving on, it must be HOME!

Hurray!
