Nora, I think that the sentiment of the email is good, but the tone should be a bit more confident/stronger
I just wanted to touch base with you regarding any follow-up you might require in considering my candidacy for a position with [Company]. I know that a half hour on the phone isn't much time to get a good idea of where I fit in with the company, so I wanted to reach out to see if there was anything else I can help you with any questions or concerns that were not addressed during the interview. I also would like to note that there is certainly room for negotiation as far as my previously stated salary requirements are negotiable if necessary. Being from out of state, my requirements were based on some research but are not definitive numbers.
I also wanted to ask what your thoughts on the hiring process timeline might be? Any information on that would be most appreciated, thanks!
Just some subtle changes that I think present a more confident candidate.
Hmm, upon second read, I would take out the "if necessary" when talking about salary negotiations, so the sentence could read "I also would like to note that my previously stated salary requirements are negotiable."
awesome- have forwarded to Tom. And you think the timing of following up is OK?
You said last Thursday, do you mean the 8th or the 1st. If the 8th, then I would wait at least a week. If the 1st, pull the trigger, baby!
the 8th- so not till tomorrow or Friday?
My sister just got her car towed again. How many times does this has to happen (and it does not infrequently) before you start paying your parking tickets, or, even better, stop parking illegally?
It took me telling Joe (who did this all. the. freaking. time. and for which I very well almost killed him) that he was draining our family, and there by harming with all of the fees and tickets and bootings that we couldn't afford to pay. And that when he was parking the car, he had better double check those signs and think if parking there is worth not feeding his child.
He learned to fucking walk a couple more blocks.
(It still pisses me off when I think about how much money got basically pissed away to the city of Glendale.)
Oh ya, Christmas Presents will be wrapped REAL tight this year!
Mine is an evil laugh.
Sad that mean IT people block flickr, thus depriving me of Ryan-levels of adorableness this morning. Woe!
Oy, Aims, definitely keep her (and her mess) at arms-length as much as you can. Good luck.
Continued job-ma for Tom. And agree that Vortex's edit does improve the tone.
I was unable to not do anything for the field mouse last night - all the local rescues have limited hours and were closed when I checked - but I left some water and a handful of nuts near enough to it that I thought it could reach them last night when I left. But taking my mother's advice today not to go back again - I'm better off not knowing.
ION today is my Friday. I'm in a wedding Saturday and I'm taking tomorrow off to go to Legoland with the "wedding group" (I've never been there before) and Friday off for last minute primping and polishing. Can it be 5:00 now, please? So ready for my long weekend.

Oh, I almost forgot, Connie, how's the weather in Utah these days?
