This is a disquieting image but I don't think I really quite understand. Where's it missing? The glans? The shaft? The head? Is it where the circumcision happened?

Is it like an indentation? Or a gouge?

I ask because penises come in many varieties and they're not always uh, symmetrical.

Though I think the doctor's concern about whether the wound is raw or sore is probably the key point.

When I was reading my CT report last week, I was feeling anxious. Each line had the potential for revealing something bad. At one point, though, I laughed. The report stated that "the uterus appears to be missing." Not the uterus is missing but appears to be missing. As though the author didn't want to be held responsible in case my uterus turns up or is simply hiding behind the pancreas. For those with actual medical training or are married to people with medical training, I do understand that a CT scan isn't intended to identify missing organs. Still, it is amusing. I'll be interested if the uterus does turn up.

For the time being, I'm doing well. I'm starting to get bored being at home- a good sign. This week I'll start the conversation with my boss to see if I can return to work part-time. While I'm not certain whether I have the stamina to sustain working, I do think it will be good for me to give it a shot and return to a more-normal schedule.

She reviewed the January and March CT scans and confirmed that 1) there was no evidence of new nodule growth and 2) that the low-grade (slow-growing) nodules were stable. The nature of chemo is to attack high growth cells. While it would have been a benefit if the slow growth cells had been impacted, it wasn't really expected.

In fact the low grade nodules were identified in March 2009. I've had a year now of those nodules showing no activity.

A few months ago, there were worries that she wouldn't see the end of October. I think I'm safe in assuming that the women of my family continue their tradition of requiring a pipe to the back of the head to convince them to stay down.

I'd be a little less worried about it right there, especially after a circ. I think there's less likelihood that it would affect function or sensation at that spot.

But I'd still want the doctor to check it.

Can't you get a cashier's check from your credit union, omnis?

omnis, my credit union would do it. It's worth checking with them anyway; let them know what you need to do, and even if they can't do the cashier's check, maybe there's something else they can do. It's ridiculous that you'd have to withdraw little chunks o' cash every day. Doing that is going to send up red flags on your account anyway; they should be calling you to make sure it's really you doing that.

It has been officially learned that, while there is an air vent in the Level 7 dressing room, it is not linked to anything by any ductwork – which explains the lack of air circulation.
