I hope the new employers appreciate Matt and are not crazy.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The "let us file your passport for you!" companies strike me as the type of firms that prey on peoples' fear of strange things that aren't so difficult if you take a deep breath and do things step by step. Some folks see "government process", though, and panic.
I like to think that I don't have food snobbery so much as an enthusiasm for food. I'll 'fess up to a bit of snobbery when it comes to coffee because I have very strong OPINIONS on the subject, but in general it's more that I just like food. I like making it and eating it and talking about it.
I would very much enjoy being a wine snob, but I gave that one up when I realized I couldn't afford it. At least I can afford to buy the coffee I like to drink.

In their defense, filling in all the paperwork and standing in line half the day is a drag and not everybody has a secretary to send to do it.
Oh, I guess I have coffee snobbery too. If it's not Blue Mountain or Tanzanian Peaberry, I'm probably not going to drink it. Although the civet stuff was okay.
Okay, no guessing about it. It's my worst snobbery.
Oh, and beer. Which is probably the biggest of them all.
The rest of my family can get pissy about what kind of Blue Mountain, so I consider myself quite open-minded in comparison. It's something to hold onto.
Oh, I am a big beer snob. Not about a particular beer, but if you drink what I consider crappy beer, I will clown you. Exceptions include when the beer is free and when being offered a beer at someone's home. (PBR, I'm looking at you!)
I'm on hold with Comcast, activating my new digital tuner. I'm not actually getting any new channels, but they ust switched a bunch of regular cable channels over to digital only. So annoying.
edit: "technical difficulties" adding the box to my account. Argh.
Oh, yay Matt! And yay Little Orange Kitty! It's a happy day in beth-land!
