[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's so awesome, Sean, getting recognition like that. And have fun in Italy - I took my dad last year for his 70th.
I am still so thankful that my vet was so extremely compassionate about it.
I was just doing some spring cleaning today and came across a lovely handwritten card from the oncologist and surgeon who worked with her. Which also mentioned a donation to a veterinary medicine group - I don't think I was able to read the card closely enough at the time for that to register. I did reciprocate all unawares, though. I had paid for ten hydrotherapy sessions of which she only got to use two or three, so I called the therapist a few days later and asked to her use those sessions for someone whose person wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.

Okay, yeah, I doubt I'll be spending my time in Italy running along the rooftops and assassinating people who richly deserve it, but Florence and Venice have changed surprsingly little in 400 years. The pictures in my tour books are instantly recognizable because of the game.
Emmett: "Wow. Your peeps really got your back."
This made me think of something that Nilly said when we raised the money to bring her to the US in 2004, and when I looked it up in Minearverse, I realized she was quoting you, David, so I had to repeat it here:
There's something that Hec once told me. About presents. That the beautiful thing about a gift is that it isn't earned or paid for. It only goes out one way into the world. And if one wants to honor the gift, then they accept it graciously, and give their own gifts out into the world. When they have an abundance to share.
So it's not like your amazing generosity has anything to do about me. It's about you, and therefore, if I want to honor you, I'm going to accept it. And not return it - just give back when I can.
Congratulations Sean, great reviews!
I'm so glad for Hec and JZ. It's about time something went right.
And Kate, that's a lovely quote.
And Kate, that's a lovely quote.
That quote -- and the fact that Nilly was quoting Hec -- was the first thing I thought of when the plan was hatched.
It's all connected.
I didn't remember it from before but it was lovely to see, and so dead on.
Emeline has become OBSESSED with the Teen Titans lately. She is in love with Robin and declared him her true love. This is her latest picture, front and back:
Oh, Em and I are going to have to throw down over that one...
You were totally who I thought of when she told me!! Maybe we can make a deal over which Robin? Like ... you get whatshisfacethefirstone and she can have the current one?
