Congratulations, Hil! So proud of you!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Woo, Hil! That's huge!
Mmm. I made a salad with cucumbers and tomatoes and Annie's Goddess dressing, which is tahini and garlic. Perfect summer dinner. The cucumbers and tomatoes are from the farmers market, the lettuce from the grocery store. (The farmers market opened for the season today. People at the office were mocking me for being excited about vegetables.)
Yay Hil!
Go Hil! What an accomplishment!
So I'm going a little stir crazy. Any of you Mamas have tips for stuff I can do out of the house with a sometimes fussy infant? We stroll around the neighborhood, at the local park, and at the mall. I'm hoping for other ideas...
Congratulations Hil!
Hooray, Hil, that's fantastic!
GC, maybe the library? IIRC, the downtown LA public library has a huge children's section with regular readings and occasional puppet theatre and such.
I just tried out my new julienne peeler. So cool. I can make fancy-looking carrot pieces! Without taking out my mandoline! Now I'm looking around my kitchen, trying to figure out what else I can julienne.
I didn't know that's what Annie's Goddess dressing's made of. I'll have to get some when I get home.
Glamcookie, does your library have any kind of kiddie story time? (Or maybe that's too old, still.) Music events in the park? Botanical gardens or science museums where kids are encouraged to poke at things and be noisy? The last one's still probably a bit old for your baby, but I've found them fun for myself, and the noise level means a bit of fussing would probably go unnoticed.

There are two with similar names. The Goddess one is tahini and garlic. The Green Goddess one is mayonnaise and herbs. (And the Goddess one is also relabeled and sold for cheaper at Trader Joe's.)
