Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

Because books.

Also amyth, I missed the deadline for UNC Chapel Hill because I suck. Would you suggest waiting and trying again for spring, rather than NC Wesleyan?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Is smonster around? I have questions about the Rocky Mount/Greenville area of NC.

Hello! According to Google maps, it's not much further to Raleigh (10 min or so) and I Definitely Recommend Raleigh over Greenville. I actually don't know shit about Greenville, but I can pretty much guarantee Raleigh is better. If you were thinking about living somewhere and commuting to Rocky Mount.

I really don't know that much about that area of NC, but if you have specific questions I can probably research stuff and/or give you pointers.

(psst, that's amych.) Speaking completely out of my cloaca, hell yes try for UNC*. A more reasoned response would be, what program are you applying for? How long would you be here? What's important to you in your surroundings?

* Totally biased and not ashamed to admit it. Tar Heel born, etc. It's a great town and a great school, and if you tell me what program I can likely rustle up someone who knows something about it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

(*cough* ch, not th)

And what is it you're applying for?

Anyway, depending on the answer to the above question (work? school? randomly choosing a place for sports fandom), what specific school it is will obviously make a huge difference -- but as for that part of the state as a place to be, it's pretty much every post Barb ever made about Jacksonville FL. Rocky Mount is a bit more depressed (it was originally a tobacco + manufacturing area, and both of those things are in a serious downturn in the last decade or so. Mass hog farming, on the other hand, is going strong.) Greenville is a little less so, because the town is dominated by ECU, which is (as Calli noted) a serious party school.

Also, if you come to the Durham/Chapel Hill area, we'll play with you.

Because books.

Sorry, amych! I'm still not completely caffeinated.

I'm just doing English and/or teaching English at the secondary level, but it sounds like Rocky Mount is probably not for me. A lot of things to consider, especially given that we really want to move this summer, and moving to the Triangle might be a risk if I don't know for sure I'd get into UNC. Hmmm.

Pretty Harvey!

Good luck to you, omnis!

Thank you, java. I think I'll go with St. Jude's donation in baby's name. Also, {{{java}}}

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It's actually only been 4 years since Cass moved, because when she went PDX scouting, Lillian was 10 months old (there are pictures!), and she was moved within the month.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
