[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greetings from the one-handed typist. And I apologize for worrying you all. My blood oxygen levels didn't come up the way they wanted them to, so I was invted to stay the night. And they've locked the hospital lobby computer away from the paying customers, darn them. I kept thinking, "I told the Buffistas I'd tell them I was all right! I need a puter!"

But I'm home, with attendant oxygen and a sling. The staff all seemed surprised that this was my first surgery. Waking up in recovery was nasty. I'll be happy if I never have to do this again, even if I did get a chance to watch Mythbusters last night.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Connie! Good to hear from you and glad you are at home. May you recover apace.

Vortex, you've never had biscuits and gravy? It's not my thing, but I think it's fairly common down here.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm gettin' married, y'all! Craxy! Who wants to watch-n'-post?! Hee.

What, you're not liveblogging it?

But I'm home, with attendant oxygen and a sling.

Connie, I'm glad you're home and that everything went basically well. Now have an uneventful recovery!

I came home from the gym to find a disgusting April Fool's Day gift from Kato the black-and-tan coonhound. Fortunately, The Boy got home before I did. NAST.

Pup goes to the vet tomorrow, b/c he's had 10 days of gastrointestinal unhealth.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good news, Connie! Glad it went smoothly.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Glad you're doing well, Connie.

The status is NOT quo.

Glad you're recovering well, Connie. Hope you're fully back to normal soon!

Am I being humorless if I don't think it's funny when someone who isn't Jewish tells me I'm being a bad Jew because I eat beans during Passover?

Oh, Vortex - you should be getting a long overdue wee package from me soon, if you haven't already.

I'm going to have to take oxygen to work until the follow up appointment on Friday. This is annoying but should at least lend seriousness to my tales of medical woe.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Am I being humorless if I don't think it's funny when someone who isn't Jewish tells me I'm being a bad Jew because I eat beans during Passover?

Are they just trying to tease you? Because there is a lot of that sort of teasing in my workplace. Like all teasing some funny, some not so much, but I don't mind if it's meant affectionately.
