It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Ginger, I vote you go to a salon and have them do your hair.

If you are up for that it is a great idea. Serves a practical purpose and gets you some deserved pampering.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

As we're about 3-4 hours from this year's seder, I remembered an alternative seder I went to about 5 years ago, the night before the actual seder. Thought I might share it with you, as my desire to do anything but watching TV and eat seems to have left the building.

We were a bunch of TV fans friends, and we re-wrote the entire Haggadah into mostly sci-fi filks. We "blessed" upon glasses of coca cola and various snacks, accordingly.

I remember two piyyutim [link] we transformed into Buffy filks: One was Chad Gadya, [link] which became, under our loving hands, into Chad Darla. It told the story of who vamped who in the Buffyverse: hence, "One little goat, one little goat/Which my father bought for two zuzim" became "One Darla, One Darla/Which was very very ill".

The other one was this: [link] on which we told some of the story of Buffy: "When Buffy came forth out of Sunnydale, she went and changed her name to Anne/She worked as a waitress in a restaurant... People got old" is what I remember out of it.

I think we should meet and do it again. It was fun.

Glad to hear the pain is better, Ginger!

Thanks for all the brackets and attention for Louie, guys. He's mostly spending his time under the seder table in the living room in the past few hours, lurking and watching our preparations.

Meh. I might as well get dressed if I want a cup of coffee. AND I DO.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have now been trying to schedule the damn hand surgeon for two hours. I finally have an appointment at 1:30, but now I'm on hold trying to get a referral and x-rays between now and then. I like Kaiser in many ways, but it's almost impossible to get someone on the phone.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Argh, Ginger, how frustrating. Glad it's not hurting as much today.

Glad Lou's feeling better to day, too, Shir.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am in less pain today for the first time in about a week. This means I should really catch up on laundry, clean the kitchen, and go to the market, but what I really want to do is hide from the rain under a warm blanket.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Having fun with [link] 's script generator. "After being bitten by rabid penguins, a hyperactive supreme court justice finds love in the afterlife."

We were a bunch of TV fans friends, and we re-wrote the entire Haggadah into mostly sci-fi filks.

That's some dedicated genius, there.

Wishing you energy, sj.

Ginger, I hope the surgeon's office gets back to you!

Pesach Sameach to everyone sharing a seder tonight.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Gronk. Insomnia fairy was not kind last night. Up til 5am. Slept ok until 7:30 and called in for the morning. I'm about to head to the shower but damn I'm full of gronk. And also fighting something off.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ginger, I don't think I've said yet - so sorry about your finger and I hope it is soon healed.

Love the Buffy seder. We won't have seder until Friday or Saturday night...

Aims, my sistah in gronk. I was up until 4 or so, made it in to work at 9:45.

Yes, Kaiser, I understand that doctors normally need 24 hours to answer messages. Next time I cut off my finger, I promise to pick a more convenient time.
