ma~~ to your sister, Shir.
omnis, not that I have any really good way to tell your boss, but honestly, if he really is a good boss , he want you to move forward. the library world is pretty small -- in he bay area - everyone knows everyone. Everyone behaves very professionally. Sometimes the way to move forward is to move out. You aren't abandoning your boss, you are moving out so that when you come back you 'll be even better. That is the attitude here.
last night i dreamed that i had a third breast. not just an extra nipple, but a whole extra boob under my left arm. it was ugly and itchy and annoying and extremely uncomfortable as my bra band of course went right over it, smushing it down in a painful way. I can't help wondering if a cat was trying to burrow under me in my sleep.
providing you've not lied on anything--are you, in fact, who you say you are? Do you actually have the degrees you put on your resume? Have you previously been arrested and not disclosed it on any applications you filled out? Etc etc.
Easier to remember truth, than various lies. But, and I don't know how to admit this. My name isn't Omnis_Audis. Crap. I'm not going to get the gig now!
(clearly feeling a lil less stressed if I can crack a feeble joke about it)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Trying to keep my spirits up, but the day started miserably. It is my 20th anniversary and I love DH, so that part is cool.
First off, the kid is fine. My son totaled his car last night. He says the wheels locked. Adults viewing the situation think he was going too fast around the corner and slammed on his brakes causing the wheels to lock. Anyway, straight off the intersection taking out the pole for the walk sign, took down a tree or two. Every side of the car is crashed. Even the trunk has a gash in it from the sign falling. Air bags deployed and he was belted. He is sore and of course devastated.
I'm up because I have to get the other kid off to school then I am going to try and get some more sleep. Kids.
Oh God, Laura. May the rest of your day be much, much better, and that First Kid will get his lesson from it, and will be able to pay alone for the damage he caused to the car.
Ugh, Laura, glad he is okay. I had a series of accidents as a teenager that weren't awful but really scared me. I hope everyone can regain a sense f calm
Laura, wow, how scary for you! I'll join in the thankfulness that he was uninjured.
Hey, you have a kid who wears his seatbelt! When you aren't there to make him.
{{{Laura}}} How scary! I am glad that he is ok physically.
Laura! Heaven's sake. BTW,thank you for leading with "the kid is fine."
