After having observed him closely for a period of several hours, I conclude that Ryan remains full of awesomeness.
Phew.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Phew.
I am thinking about going to my yearly boondoggle next month at a spa/resort for one of my editing gigs without husband or baby
Doo eeet. You need to look after yourself too.
Phew.
I know! It was on the knife edge, then he started giggling and playing peek-a-boo with his cuddle toy when I put him to bed. Way to come through in the clutch, tiny person.
Damn you, J. Peterman. How dare you have such lovely clothes that I would probably buy every single item in your catalog except that you don't carry plus sizes. You mock me, sir. I'm gonna lose 30 pounds and NOT buy your clothes, so there. Of course, when I've lost 50 pounds, then I will, so, you know, you should be sending me dextroamphetamines or something.
BOOM!
Damn. Missed.
We're at orientation. Heard an awesome talk on the history of the neighborhood and wetlands and storm. I learned some new things, even after three years. Now in safety training. Can't wait to get to site and start working!
Nora's friend's luggage got lost, which sucks. And I managed to bring only one leg of my zipoff pants. So we will need to find a thrift store or something.

How awesome is social media? Today I've been virtually attending a 'digital researcher' conference at the British Library, via the magic of uploaded talks/slides on the website (for following the conference presentations), twitter (for networking with participants who were physically there), and various online directions that people's ideas have sent me. Fab. And accessible!
{{{Shir}}} - continuing good thoughts for you, the doggy and your whole family.
Rather than clutter up Bitches with more of my family drama, I will instead provide a link: The Locket That Won't Die: Grandmother Edition.
Liese, all best thoughts for the SO, and for you.
Ides, man. I'd overlooked that fact.
P-C, I'm sorry you had the meltdown, but I'm glad you stuck to your guns. I guess it was good you had virtual people to slaughter in revenge. It will get easier to be the calm, rational grownup in your family the more you practice. I promise.
