Good luck, Kristin!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks. I'm wrestling with my cover letter and statement of educational philosophy now. My cover letter is a page too long, and I've barely started the statement. Gargh. I hate this process.
oooh. Good luck Pix!! Lack of crazy commute would be awesome, as would more pay.
Did I mention house I like came back on the market? Now I'm psyching myself out going "but, but, WHY is it cheaper?? Is there something wrong with it that I'm MISSING??" but I did go online this morning and ask to see it again. And whether anything is really worth that much money OMG. And whether any of the three friends I've talked to would actually be willing ot be my roommate, when it comes down to it.
Good luck, Kristin!
Good luck, Kristin, and {{Erin}}.
meara, maybe it's cheaper now just because it didn't sell before. It might not be an indicator of anything wrong with the house, per se, just a down market. Maybe the homeowners were being overly optimistic in their previous price, and this price is more likely to get them a sale. In any case, if you like it, put a ring on it... or an offer, anyway.
good luck meara!
Good luck Meara.
Pix, I have a very good sense of what you are going through. Calm~ma to help you with the various applications. And tons of job~ma to get one of them. I kinda like the sound of Headmistress!
I was thinking it had to be job stuff. and I think closer would be way better, esp with your insomnia issues. Good luck.
I figured it was this too. I totally feel ya (and by that, yep, I mean PORN) on the whole teacher application process. Sometimes I think the application process for the FBI or CIA has to be shorter and less involved than teaching stuff. Philosophy, lesson plans, unit plans, NASA-grade portfolios, my eternal devotion to multiculturalism and not macking on my students statement, DNA profile, intellectual property...jeez, lemme just get you my PAP results and personal references from 3 heads of state!
It is bad enough to be in that situation - and worse when it is someone els's situation - and even worse when the main cause is really not someone you can have any influence over. Sending you peaceful thoughts
Yep, that. I'm just repeating to myself "All couples have issues, all couples have issues; this, too, shall pass" over and over again! But we're going to have Cajun tonight to celebrate a friend's bday, and that helps. Plus, the way we keep communicating and working through (all of the) issues that keep popping up just reinforces what a good guy he is and how well we are working together. And honestly, getting some of these messes ironed out earlyish in a relationship is a hell of a lot better than letting them stew for a while and then having to deal.
meara, it's less because it's not selling because we're in a recession. It's a YAY! Good luck!
Pix - the shorter commute on either option would be awesome and life-affirming. {{hugs}} for getting through the application and (maybe) transition process as that is always stressful.
Meara - you mentioned that there is no yard, that would be a huge down point for a lot of potential buyers. Revel in the lower price for it is not a con for you.
{{{Erin}}} Banks are not fun
Oooh, Headmistress Pix!!
did the image of a patent leather corset come to anyone else's mind? Just me?
