You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

Buffy ,'The Killer In Me'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, of course not. Intentionally getting a nine year old trashed is a million kinds of wrong. So long as there is no physical, emotional or other harm happening, an accidentally trashed (and safe, safe is key) nine year old is funny.

Ooh! Unless knowing all those Journey lyrics is because of champagne. Maybe drinking is just evil like that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Silly kitties and their heartbreaking ways.

I took AndyCat to the vet today. Despite the round the clock feedings he has lost another 3/4 of a pound. He just isn't getting enough nutrition from his food. Luckily he is in no pain. He still eats , he still is interested in life but we won't have him for much longer.

It astonishes me that I was willing to get up at 4am . I'm exhausted, my cold has turned into a lovely asthmatic hack. If you had asked me a month ago if I would have done this for a human I cared about , the best answer I would have come up with is - I don't know. I don't tend to have a lot of natural nuturing instints But I guess I do have some.

One more kitty feeding tonight and it is off to bed. I hope DH 's work phone doesn't ring tonight.

And thanks for all the kind thoughts for Matt's brother. He is now using the word restructring, which is better, even if it means the same thing.

ma~~~ to all that need it

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I went with watching A Different World. Why do they keep saying that this school is in Virginia when everything about it is obviously Atlanta? In this episode, they're talking about a soda company that's the biggest local employer.

It's all part of pretending Hillman isn't a co-ed Spelman?

Ooh. Old memory. A friend of mine's high school used to announce what colleges Seniors had been accepted to. One day on the morning announcments she learned one of her friends was accepted to Hillman. ::facepalm::

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Daisy Jane - you're right about Codeine Velvet Club. One of the best bands I've heard in ages. I'm hoping to see them at a London festival in July. Pretty much only going for them!

Nora, wishing you pain-free sinuses.

beth, I'm really sorry about AndyCat. :(

Pain-free~ma, Hil.

Today I must stop being lazy and work on research-y things. If I'm not going to get PhD funding, I need a lot of publications to my name.

I just got back from contra dancing and them Alice in Wonderland, which wasn't really what I expected. I really wasn't plannin to see it at all, but got dragged along with friends. Eh. More importantly, got a call from the relator for the house I liked that was taken off the market--it's back on as of tonight! Now cheaper! Eep. Now i'm starting to freak because I want it but am like "am I missing something? Why isn't it already sold??" it has no yard, or balconies, but it has other stuff the other places don't have.
