Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

At the same time, there's certainly practical reasons to do it before he leaves, morbid as that is.
Ya, I was thinking the same thing. Too many hours with my sister during BIL deployment. (FTR, she was saying that she *didn't* want the payout, but wanted her husband back).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

There are practical reasons to marry now, no matter how hard it might be to admit it.

And, honestly, the best marriage I know was one right out of high school. It's correlation, not causation. But they aren't doomed. Early military marriages can't be easy though. I wish them well.

Noise Design, I think I'm having sympathy pains for ya. Oy. Not sure if it's the GB or the frakkin' chairs in the new theater.

omnis, congrats on the new job, but I am disappointed you won't be in Dallas when I am there for a friends wedding in September.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Omnis, best of luck in your move.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

yay for return to the west coast o_a!

my sister is turning 14 next week. I just got her a $25 itunes gift card. That's reasonable and appropriate, right?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

announced that she's getting married Friday instead of after her fiance gets out of the Army after a tour

Hello.

there's certainly practical reasons to do it before he leaves, morbid as that is.

::nods::

Early military marriages can't be easy though.

In our case, better than the alternative. And we made it work--ups, downs, and all.

There's Big Wind outside. I find I don't miss living on the second floor in a big wind.

I'm THE finalist. No job offer yet. Last step is they call references. They have to call current employer. I had a hold on that in my app. If I didn't release the do not call, no job offer. I finally released that hold, which was big mental decision that, while not perfect, it's a good move. HR called one of my refs today, she called me to give me the juicy details. Kinda funny.

Once refs are verified, then it hits the final stage, which is a formal offer. Then the negotiations begin. As long as that salary amount is on the upper level, then I will take it. If they dick around, I stay with perfectly fine current job.
