Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

So... Pete?

Ha! I assumed Pete too, but smonster, quite adorable. I think we need details.

I didn't know interview coaches existed, although it makes sense. Anything to improve the odds makes sense to me.

sj, better you than me. You are a brave woman.

I'm home again today with swollen glands and sore throat. My BIL brought me a concoction made of ginger, cinnamon, and red pepper to drink, and fresh coconut oil to rub on the outside of my throat. He's a doll.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think we need details.

There was snogging.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

fresh coconut oil to rub on the outside of my throat.

That's a new one on me. What's it supposed to do?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

He said it would reduce the swelling, and it has! It may be his sincerity in explaining how it works that talked my glands into chilling. He has done a lot of research on natural healing so I trust him in these matters. I'll try anything to avoid antibiotics. The ginger/cinnamon/red pepper drink was yuck. He wants me to rub garlic on my palms too, but I haven't done that yet.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

When I'm coming down with something, I'll take capsules of ginger, cayenne, and cinnamon. The first day, I will take one of each, but then I find that a couple capsules of one kind a day, in turn, minimizes the pain of capsaicin exiting my system, and gives me some relief.
