How I've missed you all. Sane people. Good people. Fuzzy people.
'Same Time, Same Place'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You have been away a long time.
Shir! Hi! We missed you too.
Shir! Welcome home! I missed you!
And flushing human waste doesn't?
It's specifically the toxoplamosis microbe. It's contagious in cat poo during a certain stage of its lifecycle as a parasite in the cat. As the cat is the optimal host for this parasite, it may not complete the cycle in other species such as homo sapiens. They certainly don't get all het up about pregnant women who already have a diaper-wearing kid cleaning up the dirty ones, but whooo boy do people hear about giving up their cats (or at least not cleaning the litter boxes).
Cat still lying low, but the litterbox was used overnight so I'ma assume she'll make an appearance in her own good time.

Semi-lurking due to necessary energy-saving attempt (my own, not laptop electricity), but still reading.
Seska... I am doing a project right now that you would sort of relate to...I'm transcribing documents about disability so they'll be searchable on a big database of disability history(for all values of history including the mid-eighties) Sad to say, I'm not feeling as Empowered by it as I halfway hoped for, as only a very few of the complaints I've been reading have I thought "Well, there's a law now...that would never happen that way today." Like two, and I'm on page 37. Bitching about Vocational Rehabilitation and inadequate transportation seem pretty "ripped from the headlines" actually. Although I suppose there is a tiny victory in moving from "nonexistent" to "inadequate" but I hardly think that's why we have an ADA celebration.
Good luck with the lurking-kitty, Brenda.
