Head exploding. First, it is outrageous that they took your money, then brought up the whole sleep on the floor thing. I'd ask for my money back. (well I probably wouldn't because I am a big ole non-confrontational wimp) But they need to be smacked.

Yes, it is the house I was looking at with the dock and stuff. Still having a hard time processing how I am going to go through all my stuff. I have accumulated so much and I really don't want to move it all blindly. This is the time to purge and simplify, but I am the only one that can make those decisions, and I don't have the hours in the day.

Hey ND, are you still in Orlando? If so, sorry, but also, DH is going there tomorrow for some basketball thing and would catch up with you if you were around.

ND is in Orlando until Monday. And then for much of the spring.

That's wack, Zen. it certainly sounds as if you have been extraordinarily easy-going about the whole thing and getting a little screwed, but just pulling out of the whole situation is probably the best way to avoid drama.

New hair. Finally. It has needed to be cut for some time. I think I like this length. I suppose I could try doing something other than towel dry and run out the door, but that is as much fuss as I am likely to devote to it. [link]

I'd be tempted to write them a bullet point letter:

• BEFORE you accept someone's money for a room share you need to explain that they will be sleeping on the floor.

• I'm sorry if there was initial confusion, but I did not ask for that money back when I took another room for several nights. You still have it.

• I may still need my spot in your room on Thursday. Since you have my money that spot is still mine.

• If you return the money for all four nights, I will not stay with you on Thursday.

Of course, when things are that obvious there is no point in trying to "explain" them. But maybe they'll show your mean mean MEAN email to their friends, some of whom will begin to realize that they are assholes.
