{{{Jessica}}} I'm sorry. I hope you know that this is a safe place to honestly talk about how you are feeling whenever you want/need to.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Stephanie, congratulations!
Also, getting feelings hurt is not the same thing as being offended.
javachik, I saw you added this after I read it, and I wanted to say this is also a very good point. Important distinction, I think.
Thanks, sj. I'm actually doing really well, considering. (And I really don't want to hijack the thread because if *I'm* this sick of talking about myself, I can only imagine how the rest of you must feel!)
Mostly it's people I only ever see at the water cooler - I'm guessing most of them don't realize I was pregnant the last time we bumped into each other, and "Hey, how ya doing?" is, under most circumstances, a perfectly cromulent greeting.
a perfectly cromulent greeting.
Yeah, but it can acribbitz your irritation, too.
eta: Jess, I hear Tep is now officially healthier than Dick Cheney, and pretty soon she's gonna be all sugared up on ice cream and ready to go on a punchintheface rampage, if needed.
I am THERE for you.
Tep, on your most fucked day, ever, you're always healthier than him. Shit I didn't Say: Dear Feminist-Allied Man: Do NOT try to out-feminist me if you don't want me having thoughts like "You run the fuckin' world, and we can't have ONE thread without somebody asking about guys and its effect on guys and what about feminist guys...good for you. Here's your cookie. Now sit back and look pretty." You're tiring...are you sure you're not secretly Glenn Greenwald? Because my head hurts when I read him too. Argh...
Yay, Stephanie!!
we can't have ONE thread without somebody asking about guys and its effect on guys and what about feminist guys
"But what about the MENNNNNNNNNNNNZ?!?"
Yeah. Hate that.
I mean, I try to understand that "masculinity" is absolutely an issue, and I'm happy to talk about it, but even there, there's some dude telling me I'm wrong again! If he does again, I'm gonna tell him to make me a sandwich.
