Sophia, smonster, and WindSparrow all make points I'd want to make if I were more articulate.
'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
A tip re: salad shooters and celery - peel the celery first by removing the ribs on the back. It slices easier and cleaner and also the celery tastes SO MUCH BETTER LIKE WHOA.
Re: politics: I am a lot more conservative (lower case "c") than most of my friends here and my husband. I lean more toward the middle and am more than a little Republican-friendly, mostly due to Emeline's godparents being Republican. But, like Shari pointed out, they are a lot more "on my side" on any number of issues than the Cheney's and Coulter's out there.
Oh, well, at least I'll see people I know in Special Hell.

Miranda rights are are for humans, not solely for Americans. Speaking as a member of a select group which has been routinely denied rights that at least one other select group takes for granted, I'm a big fan of not taking human rights away from select groups just to make privileged groups feel secure. A person never knows when s/he is going to be summarily included in a select group chosen to have their rights denied them.
Because it's worth reposting.
The Miranda thing should be a non-issue. Not only for the legal reasons Sparky points out, but because Richard Reid (note: not actually a USian -- Reid's British) was also read them. In December 2001.
Reading them to Mr Crotch-on-fire was hardly a deviation from precendent.
Peel celery?? That just seems....weird. And overly hard work. Dude.
Shari, I have to say that while I disagree with you on probably just about every political point (since I'm not sure these days I could even hold my nose and vote for a Republican for office even if I liked them and some of their positions, solely based on larger party politics and filibuster type stuff), I respect you for putting your opinion out here and standing up for yourself. And I have Republicans in the family and....ahem. Never mind, won't go there. :) (And GO HOYAS!!!)
so you would be Mrs. Robinson? I've always kind of wanted to do that, but between my resemblance to a shambling teen and my general interest in people older than me, it's not looking likely. But I think anyone who got to be your Ms. braddock is lucky, Meara
Yes, she was going to be visiting someone I know, and dunno if he offered my FB profile or she was browsing or what, but he was all "She thinks you're hot". And she's...21. t fans self

It's totally not! And it is SO worth it. Emeril says so.
Emeril's a freak.
Now tell me Alton says so, and maybe I'll reconsider it.
Alton has also gone the way of the freak.
But here: he says so, too. [link]
meara, aren't you 12?
