That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Drew, mom had her gallbladder out last year and it really was a quick recovery. I hope you don't have any recurrence of the pain before you can get it done.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So Em was coughing in her bed for about 10 minutes. Dry cough. Then she threw up. She has no fever and no other symptoms. It was just probably the coughing too hard that triggered the vomiting, right? It's not Legionnaire's Disease or the other scary shit that Dr. Google popped up, right?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm not a mom so not qualified to give advice but I'm pretty sure if there's no fever you don't need to panic. {{{Aims & Em}}}

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Any other symptoms? Because lots of cough can easily equal puke. Especially in kids.

Alternately, if there are several other hard-to-miss symptoms, puking while coughing can also equal whooping cough. Which this is NOT.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Windsparrow, I took no offense at your post; my experience has been similar to yours. I realize that generalizations are unfair, but so is running across a disproportionate percentage of unhelpful doctors. So let's celebrate the good ones, and encourage the others along paths to medical enlightenment. If such encouragement requires assertiveness on one's own behalf in the face of the some medical practicioners' predisposition to omniscience, well. It is what it is.

It is probably just stomach muscles spasming from all the coughing--I do it myself if I'm not careful. Lowering the temperature in her room overnight might help. I get my worst bouts when I'm in an overheated room.

Trust my rage

Aimee, Ellie puked twice last night and hasn't felt great today but her only other symptom has been a cough. Maybe something is going around?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Headline I would like to see being literally true:

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Thinking about it, I hadn't heard her cough all day except for the ten minutes leading up to the vomiting. And now she's totally passed out next to me with no sound from her. I think we're going to set up the steamer in her room to get the air a little moist and see how that works tomorrow night.
