I wore this to a party last night and was told I looked "very Gothy" (the black, not the red): [link] I admit, compared to a semi-colon t-shirt, it seems gothy, but I don't think something is necessarily gothy just because it's black and velvet, yes?
Not that I *mind* being called/looking gothy, I just don't think I *was.*
Teppy, I would say that it's a great shirt, but not particularly gothy. It would be a good goth wardrobe staple. And I bet it looked great on you.
The style is very classic. It has elegant and clean lines. Id say the shirt is a classic. it would look good paired with the classic preppy plaid skirt as well as something with more flair.
Barb! So, um....when do I get to SEE you??? (She says, as she prepares to leave town tomorrow for two days).
Drew, I hope they can find some way to get rid of your gallstones without removing your gallbladder. Perhaps ultrasonic?
Good luck with the gallbladder, Drew. I hope you're feeling better soon.
I spent far too much time in a car this weekend. Waaaaay too much.

After you get back, of course! Seriously, now that I'm mostly unpacked, and my mother has visited, I'm very flexible and, you know, HERE.
So... dinner after you get back?
Holy cow I can't believe this hockey game.

The problem is that there is a very high probability of recurrence if he doesn't have the surgery, so the doctor thinks it needs to be done. Luckily they do it laparoscopically in an outpatient procedure now (which blows my mind), so the surgery itself shouldn't be too bad. I'm sure the recovery won't be fun, but much better than the old way.
