Aims, this is totally anecdotal, but I've experienced it myself and heard it from several other people with AD/HD, and I just remembered it, so I figured I'd share -- certain types of red food coloring make me really hyper. I haven't figured out exactly which ones, but certain artificially red foods would send me into hyper much more than the same thing in a different color. It doesn't happen for everybody, but might be something to look for when Em has popsicles or candy or stuff like that.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Taking a brief pause to wave to Teppy as I race to my connection at the Cinci airport.
Without the long story I was going to post, eliminating as much processed food as possible might make a surprising difference. ( though too many big changes at once might not be good or successful)
Hi Sean! Bye Sean!
I just wish I had time to sample this crime against nature that gets called chili around here.
I'm fairly certain there's chili to be had in the airport, if you look around. Like, 2 feet to the left.
So, if you run reeeeeeeal fast, and then eat as you run, you can fit it all in!
There's a Gold Star Chili in the Delta terminal.
Hee! It was seeing a Gold Star with a TOO LONG LINE is what made me wish I had more than fifteen minutes in this airport (nice connection, mom). And I'm not coming through Cinci on the way back. :(
I guess I'll just have to make a special trip some time.
Aims, you are a great mom and I know you and Joe will do the right thing for Em.
One of my coworker's has a son who was recently diagnosed with ADHD and is taking medicine. He just turned 11 so he's older than Em but he's had problems for a few years, they just recently figured it out. She was reluctant to put him on medicine because of his age but she said the difference is amazing.
It's been a couple months and she said that the difference is amazing, she doesn't have to keep after him to take his medicine because it makes such a difference and it makes his life so much easier and happier.
I literally got off one plane, ran to the next gate, and I am now on the next plane. I'm forced to wait until we are airborne to PEE!
