Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay potential jobs!
Many hugs to smonster for being the best kitty foster mama ever.
I am wide awake. I have to get up in six hours. I took half an ambien half an hour ago, but apparently tonight it has chosen to be utterly uneffective. Do I risk taking the other half and being in an Ambien coma in the morning, or do I toss and turn and risk being in a sleep deprivation coma? I don't like either of these options.
Nora, if you can wait a week it will be up at tnt.tv.
Hey all. The cottage in Norfolk was lovely - log fire, great countryside to explore, got essay written. What did I miss here?
Good luck with the cheese-free meals, Laura! We eat mostly wheat-free and do fine - there are always alternatives in the shops.
Wishing you sleep, Kristin.
Edited, because Norfolk has an L in it.
My daily news: first, Ryan can now stand at the edge of his playpen! He can't get there himself, but he has no trouble staying upright.
Second, I just heard back on the interview I did a couple of weeks ago: they're offering me the position. This work is pretty much just the kind of thing I'm looking for. They want sophisticated financial modelling to support their investment decisions, which is my area of expertise. Perhaps best of all, they want someone on a part-time basis at the moment, so it fits perfectly with my Master of Finance studies. I'm not sure how I'll go with the work culture - there are one or two things which will be new for me, and one or two things which are perhaps too familiar - but unless they want to pay me in hope and shiny buttons, I'll be starting in about a month's time.
Congratulations, billytea!
Very delayed but still heartfelt {{Jessica, Ethan, &. Dylan}}
Congrats, billytea! Gainful employment that works with your schedule is indeed a good thing.
Ryan can now stand at the edge of his playpen!
Nooooo! Don't encourage this behavior. Fair warning, this can only lead to walking, running, and in time driving. Don't say I didn't let ya know.
ION, my son passed his driving test yesterday and proceeded to drive himself to volleyball practice and to his girlfriend's house later in the evening. All without parental assist. He's going to work with me today because he needs gas money.
And,
Happy Birthday to Beverly! Reading your recent posts leads me to believe that this year will be a wonderful year for you.
Congratulations on the job, billytea. Also, good work, Ryan!
Laura, I'm not sure whether to extend congratulations or sympathy for your auto insurance premiums.
Happy Birthday, Beverly!
Hippo birdies, Beverly!!!!
yay, billytea!
