You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

OK wait, gummi frogs are peach. How did I not know that? I swear the penguins are peachier.

I'm making clay pot moussaka tonight. I should probably stop nomming on these worms. I'm getting a little silly from the sugar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently the only drink Hardison consumes is orange soda. Mono-flavouricity is not a downside for him.

You bitches should know that it's your fault I care about curling. If I'd never watched Men With Brooms I'd still think the sport was boring & incomprehensible.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee! Yay, curling!

Ooh. I have orange soda right now. I should go get some. Did I mention that I gave in and put the black light on my keychain instead of in my backpack? I'm sure that it's an overt sign of my fannishness and all will know how I revere Hardison. What? Everyone else is not as obsessed as I? Pish-tosh.

Speaking of curling, I must say I love the Danish women's uniform with the little black skirt.

brillig

Curling is oddly compelling. When the Olympics were here in Utah in 2002, I was on the train with a bunch of Canadians, and someone asked about the national sport of Canada. Half of them said lacrosse and half of them said curling. Apparently it's quite the thing to go spend the evening at the curling rink.

Oh Lord, Shane is so cranky lately. He has introduced new and improved cries, too. LUSH, take me away!

Curling does rock. Also, I'm finding it quite nerve wracking getting the live updates online, for the Canadian women. Just getting the scores as the ends progress is quite exciting compared to watching the ends, I find.

Also (random), narwhals are really cool! I think I forgot they exist, but I was at Canada's Northern House pavillion this afternoon, and they had a narwhal tusk. So cool!

Hi! Apparently the Olympics in my town makes me a little more chatty.

I'm glad you're chatty, Abby! I love hearing the insider view. Is getting around craziness?

It hasn't been so bad for me. My regular bus doesn't go all the way downtown, but I make one transfer that delivers me to my usual spot. So far, I've added maybe 5 minutes on my morning commute, and maybe 10 on my evening?

My office is right downtown, and across from the main Canada Pavilion, called LiveCity Downtown, and the amount of people around is crazy! The weather just turned gorgeous the last couple of days, blue skies, sunny & warm (14 celsius!), and we've got a great view of the goings on. I'm planning to take Monday off as my roommate is also off that day, and we'll run around all the free stuff.
